| QUESTION: The 2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 came stocked with a brembo master cylinder. I think it is a 19x16 or 18x16, can you tell me which one? I wish to upgrade but I don't know which one I have already. |
| ANSWER: Yes Brembo did do the master cylinder for the late R1. I believe the bike has a 16x18 production radial m/c proprietary to Yamaha Japan. For purposes of an upgrade you definitely will want to move up to a 19mm piston size radial m/c like the 19x18 or 19x20 for example. |
|
| QUESTION: Just one more question, for the 104850 mc, is it nescessary to have brembo
calipers,
or can I just use my original tokico calipers?
Kind regards,
Marc |
| ANSWER: You may use your stock calipers. The master will just greatly improve your braking. |
|
