The Q&A on this Product
QUESTION:  The 2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 came stocked with a brembo master cylinder. I think it is a 19x16 or 18x16, can you tell me which one? I wish to upgrade but I don't know which one I have already.
ANSWER:  Yes Brembo did do the master cylinder for the late R1. I believe the bike has a 16x18 production radial m/c proprietary to Yamaha Japan. For purposes of an upgrade you definitely will want to move up to a 19mm piston size radial m/c like the 19x18 or 19x20 for example.
QUESTION:  Just one more question, for the 104850 mc, is it nescessary to have brembo calipers, or can I just use my original tokico calipers? Kind regards, Marc
ANSWER:  You may use your stock calipers. The master will just greatly improve your braking.
QUESTION:  Hello 1tail, Do you have this one in stock? (brembo 10.48.50 mc) I'm from holland, how long will it take you to get it here, normally? Does it has the same color as in this picture, in the url below? www.carpimoto.it/Images/Products/Detail/b%5Cbb_PR16_D.jpg Does it fit a 22mm diamater clip-on? Sorry for all the questions, but i wanna order the right on, because you don't live around the corner haha Kind regards, Marc Emmerig
ANSWER:  I do not have this item in stock but I can get it for you. The mount clamp is indeed 22mm. No problem on the questions. Jolene
QUESTION:  what does 19x18 mean?
ANSWER:  19mm piston and 18mm pivot. The pivot is adjustable.
QUESTION:  the sencond dimension (16)is refered to the lever or to the master cylinder?I means is it possible to change the lever and the same master cylinder become 19x18 for example?thank you
ANSWER:  The 16 means the pivot distance. CHanging the lever will not change that.
