I look at a jet size chart and a 200 jet equals .0890 so if I took my stock jet and drilled it to that size would that work compared to a jet kit?
ANSWER:
Yes.
QUESTION:
if i put on the full system would it be better to buy better jets or just leave the stock ones there
ANSWER:
You will need to re jet. HMF has jetting recommendations on their website.
QUESTION:
how many dB's is a stock exhaust on a 400ex?
ANSWER:
Stock exhausts typically range between 88 and 94 dbs.
QUESTION:
is the slip on just as loud as the full system?
ANSWER:
The full system is about 1 db louder.
QUESTION:
I'm comparing the full vs the slip-on...there about the same. but the specs stop at 5000rpm on the slip-on and go to 7000rpm on the full? Does this mean it is stock after 5000rpm for the slip-on? Will the slip-on and rejet affect my mpg a lot??
ANSWER:
You will still pick up some marginal power above 5000 with the slip on but with the full it will scream above 5000. Fuel consumption isn't drastically affected.

ANSWER:
The 400EX comes in at about 105dB's without the quiet core and about 97dB's with the quiet core installed. HMF
QUESTION:
Is the HMF exhaust very loud or does it just add torque and horse power
ANSWER:
The Sport series slip on, on the 400EX, comes in at about 105 dB's. We do offer a quiet core insert that will bring the dB's down to about 97 and is USFS spark arrested. HMF
